Vincent Constantine
AGE 28 • June 4th 1988 • Male • Human • Sigil Magic • Detective
blonde Hair • blue Eyes • 6'2 • 185lbs
Appearance,
His appearance is extremely rough. He is far from a beauty but not at all ugly. Ruggedly handsome is the best description that comes to mind. Whether on the clock or off, he can be seen wearing his brown trench coat on his daily doings, with a white dress shirt and usually black tie. Dark colored pants is his preference. With shining blonde hair and bright blue eyes, he stands out at a facial level but sort of over all seems sort of normal, cigarette in hand and never leaving home with out them.
As for his personal belongings, he always has a lighter and his cigarettes. The zippo that he has is stainless steel and is his object of choice to toy with while in deep thought. He has a variety of trinkets that aide in his endeavors as well. He has multiple pieces of chalk, rock salt, floss, cast iron pellets, small handheld blacklight, tweezers, small amount of luminol, and a pistol 9mm Glock with backup magazines. Additionally he carries a karambit with a 6 inch curved blade holstered to his chest as well.

Spells and Abilities,
Pathfinder's Mark - This is a sigil similar to the tracking enchantment, but one that is more commonly used in investigation than in actual tracking. By applying the sigil to a surface like a wall or ceiling, a person is able to see recent signs left by anyone who has been in the room. These signs include such things as footprints, fingerprints, residues and the like. Generally signs such as these can be seen by the Pathfinder's Mark for several hours before beginning to fade.
Vincent had these tattoo'ed on his eyelids which fade after a certain amount of use, causing him to constantly having to get them re-done every month or so.
Rune of Disintegration - The first and most important thing to note about this sigil is that it can not be used on a human or supernatural target. Its purpose is to remove physical barriers and hindrances to movement forward. Unless the impediment is something like a door, where the dimensions are clearly defined, the person drawing the sigil must also outline the dimensions of the opening that they want to create. Once applied, the sigil immediately takes effect. It will completely disintegrate the material within the outlined dimensions. There are, however, limitations to this sigil's abilities. Incredibly thick or physically durable materials, such as reinforced steel, will not be affected. In addition, if the room beyond or the surface itself on which the sigil is drawn is magically reinforced, the sigil will fail.
Scrying Sigil - This is a sigil which is applied to a perfectly flat or mirrored surface, such as an actual mirror, and can be used to perform what is known as scrying. This allows the caster to see a target individual no matter how far away they actually are, and hear them as if they were in the same room. To use this spell though, more than the required sigil is needed. The caster must have a picture or rendering of the person that they wish to scry, and the person in question must be one that they have met before.

Personality,
Vincent is a very tactful and angry man. His anger derives from constantly being exposed to crime scenes and corrupted beings, although he usually keeps it in check and hidden deep within his emotional wall. On the outside he is an extremely smart and skilled individual in his field as well as very manipulative in the face of others when he needs to get what he wants as.
When dealing with allies, he always manages to keep up a professional face up while instilling his calm and collective nature. While interacting with allies he is usually dealing with crime scenes, in which he tends to keep to himself. Opening up to observations and speaking aloud, he doesn't usually talk to anyone in particular but rather to everyone hoping his words will open up the minds to others helping them come out with new ideas and potential leads to the investigation.
When it comes to enemies on the other hand, things are quite different. He becomes more aggressive in nature with his words yet still remains calm in a sense. Interrogations go with him using everything and anything he can to get the answers he needs. He doesn't usually like to play by the rules, but then again, supernaturals comepletely changed the detective game, they are the ones who made it unfair.
History,
Home Country England
As a child, Vincent had always been an inquisitive lad. Always taking interest in the unknown. But he never guessed that the very unknown that he had once loved, would turn on him in such a dangerous way. While growing up un England, Vincent had went to many schools of accelerated learning. For those who were sometimes deemed 'too intelligent for their own good' by the adult generation. Always a quiet kid, and yet always investigating when and were he shouldn't be. Creepy noise? He was the first to get out of bed and look down the hall. Foul smell? He was always the one to find its origin. Others looked at him as sort of an outcast. Not really hated, but not belonging either. It never really bothered Vincent, in fact it probably helped him in the long run. Being able to logically and correctly judge others characters by observations is now an important part of his life. He often would skip classes as he got older and into the higher grades, finding the wonders of London much more interesting to study then a simple text book.
As he graduated high school at the third highest rating in scholastic views, but the first for absences. He moved onto college and studied multiple fields of the criminology major. Addicted to cop shows he had always wanted to be one of the cool calm and collected detectives that were portrayed so elegantly in the shows and movies.
Never finishing college, he decided that he wanted to do some travelling. The ability to observe and take part in foreign culture peaked his interest. Deciding to go with America he packed up and moved stateside, first into Boston. America was a much more dangerous country then England was. Gun laws were more lax, Police Officers carried weapons that included fire arms, and the crime rate was through the roof. At that moment he felt like he wanted to help make the city a better place to live for others and enrolled in the police academy.
Breezing through the courses with flying colors he had done a few years with the force as a basic local officer, and eventually showed his talents and skills and got bumped up to Homicide. A short time after the glamour dropped, the unsolved cases that plagued him and the department suddenly had new meaning and potential. Everything had changed, the dynamics of crime and the potential for death and illegal activities have just doubled at least.
Shortly after the Glamour ended, he noticed a small crescent moon mark on his middle knuckle on his right hand. He was most certainly intrigued about the new marking, so he went to seek out a woman who he had dealt with in a case before. She was one of the "open witches" before the Glamour ended....everyone thought she was simply a cook. But apparently they were all wrong. Hiding in plain site was quite the move on her part. He went and inquired to her and she didn't necessarily give him an answer that he wanted to hear. Apparently the marking meant that he was indeed magically inclined. But the important part was how he decided to proceed from their. He could either ignore his calling to the magical field or take up a branch of magic. She preached the Sigil branch, 1) it had the least negative side effects and 2) it was the most easily underestimated. After much thought he agreed and begun his magic practice.
A few years down the road, he found a note on his desk at he PDHQ. It was a notice of transfer, to a city called Hallowhill Grove. He had heard of it once, it was the city that the world had attempted to filter all the supes into and be done with the whole bit. But now, it was more openly accepted....sort of. At least there it was. When he arrived in the city, he was told that he was also going to be changing departments. Instead of the Homicide, he would now be a part of the Supernatural Crime Department, everything ranging to murders, abductions and even arson. With the glamour down....his chances of getting vengeance for those wronged had increased double....at least.
